Run
Comments: Had not done any specific hill training for this, so I was fairly happy with my splits. All were within a :30 time frame of each other, even through the hills. I probably could have shed my long sleeve shirt at some point but opted to keep it on and didn't really overheat. I probably could have pushed a little harder on this course as I had a lot of kick at the end, but I knew the hills were toward the end and didn't want to push early and not have enough left for the hills. What would you do differently?: Try to run about 10 seconds faster per mile to break the 2 hour mark. Post race
Warm down: Got funneled through the chute to get the medal, shirt, and food. I wish they would have that further away from the finish so you could stretch first. Standing in line waiting for all of that made me tighten up a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental challenge of knowing the hills were at the end of the course. Event comments: It turned out to be a great day for the race temperature-wise. Last updated: 2009-12-04 12:00 AM

Got up early and ate the usual oatmeal with my strawberry/banana shake. Headed to the race, used the restroom, lined up to get ready to run.
