Pre-race routine:

The bikes rides were still on, but had been pushed back to 9am.
Ate a banana and an apple and had some G2.

What would you do differently?:

Need to carry more food, those little GU blocs don't cut it. Starting mile 45 my stomach was growling.
I think I also need to invest in cycling shoes and the corresponding pedals, because my knees were more tired, than the rest of my body. I know my knees probably have sideways motion, which I understand contributes to knee fatigue.

Course: The course itself was very easy, flat. No hills. The road surface was very rough. At one time I thought I was going to take a dive, because I hit one of the many potholes and it knocked out my aero position. The course was marked extremely well and the map wasn't necessary. Event setup was very well organized with plenty of parking.
