Started behind the 4:15 pace group and started slow! Planned to neg split due to the 7 mi downhill at the end. It worked. In my div my ranks follow 5K 53d, 10M 47th, 1/2 mara 45th, 20M 34th, overall 23d. First 6 mi in 9 min pace, stopped to water the trees. Finished the 2 hr bottle of perpetium around 12 mi. Started jells at 14 then 17 and 20ish. Next uphill section was able to maintain 9 flat till 21mi. At 21 I realized my goal was achievable and started really hammering. Last prota john stop at 22mi (yes that’s 3 stops for 40 sec per stop). At 23 turned it up again. Last 3.47 miles in 27:30. Feeling unbelievable!
What would you do differently?:

Drink a little less and not stop to pee as many times, can't do anything about it
Post race
Warm down:

walked thru to get shirt, sat down to stretch then back to the hotel

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Going to the bathroom

Event comments:

Good race. Finisher shirt too small and trouble at the expo day prior (no backpack left when we checked in). Got an email, Back pack will be shipped within the month. I'll still do it again if I'm here next year

You're right about the finsher shirt. I grabbed a medium because that's what I got there last year. I could barely get it over my head, much less my body. Fits my 8 year old son perfectly.
