Subject: RE: First half ironman in NH Welcome aboard! My advice would be to get a training plan. BT offers a number of plans, some of which are free and the rest which are very modestly priced through a membership. There are also many books with plans in the them. I find having a training plan to be very helpful because they've been structured by a coach who's mindful of making sure the plan gives you exposure to each discipline as well as enough rest, peak at the right time. If nothing else, you could look at a training plan as a starting point and change it up to suit your needs. It may also be worthwhile to invest in a swim lesson or 2 to get some good form down. Local YMCA's are often a good resource. Oh and prepare to open your wallet, haha, the tri obsession gets expensive the first year! Again, welcome and happy training |
