Run
Comments: Steady pace for the first 10 miles helped me finish strong. It was a great experience to run with a pacing group like that because at the last few miles my legs (hammies) were not as strong as I thought they would be to help me increase the revs to the finish line. I brought my homemade gel and took fluids at some of the stations - mostly in the second half and to help swallow the gel more than because I felt I needed it. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: stretches, walk, stay warm What limited your ability to perform faster: faster training Event comments: This was a great event, especially for a first 1/2. Lots of people giving the right experience. I must make sure I always find an appropriate pace group. I also listened to some iPod music from time to time, this helped in clearing the mind.
