speedy! I paced my marathon buddy, Jason, for the first 8 miles to the split. He wanted to go fast and it was my job to reign him in and keep him on an 8:30 pace. Mission accomplished. I was able to open it up on the downhill into town and had a blast flying by people.

I like negative splits.
Serious lack of bands/music on the 1/2 mary course. They didn't do a good job explaining the corral system for the starts. Also, the corrals were not well marked. Should have had tall signs up in the air for folks to line up behind. Putting up the rope just didn't work for the crowd which is used to a mass start. Announcer caused confusion, too, with mixed messages.
