Comments: Gender place - 51/2134 women I started my first mile at the right pace but got going to fast in the second mile. Missed mile markers and time clocks at miles 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. I don't know how because I was looking for them. That caused my pace to be faster than I wanted and I got very tired around mile 10. The 1:40 pace group caught up to me around mile 8.5 or 9 and I stayed with them through 10 when the pace was too much. Picked up my pace a little at mile 11 and a little more at mile 12 to finish strong. What would you do differently?: Be more aware of the mile markers and keep better track of my pace. Post race
Warm down: Walked for about 10 minutes, ate a half of a bagel and drank a bottle of water. Felt a little nauseous at first but after the bagel and walk, I felt better. Last updated: 2009-11-26 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4am to use bathroom and could not fall back asleep. Go out of bed at 4:45am to start getting ready. Ate a energy bar.
Jogged from hotel to start area, approx 1/2 mile. Stretched (forgot to stretch calves and figured it out at mile 2 when they started to get tight). Lined up with the 1:40 pace group as my goal was 1:41:00.
