Comments:

I started out with my iPhone blasting music to avoid the boredom that coudl come with the one-mile loop. The goal wasn't to PR or anything, it was to train for the upcoming 50K Ultra I'm doing on March 27 and do a total of 28 miles. So I planned to stay in the 8:40-8:50 range throughout the race. No, that didn't happen. I thought `I feel FINE so I'll pick it up a little.' My miles for the first half were in the 8:30 range. I just kept running around and around and around and then at mile 16 hooked up with Suzy and Tina and ran with them. They were shooting for a BQ of 3:40:59 so I figured what the heck, I'll try to PR. My garmin died at about mile 22 so we were going off Tina's garmin. The announcer was saying `You're starting lap 20' or `... lap 21' or whatever. The last I heard him say was `Tony you're starting lap 25.' and then we went around and did one more lap after that, which would mean 26 laps X 1 mile = 26 miles, yes? Long story short, I'm not on the official results so I emailed. He said I only did 25 miles. It's possible since my Garmin died. I can't be sure. Oh well fuggit.

I do feel bad for Tina and Suzy who aren't in the official results, either, because they may have shorted the race, too. And here they thought they qualified for Boston.

After getting my chip clipped off my shoe I went and did another lap. If my garmin was on, and we did indeed to 26 laps, from where I started to where I finished, I did 27.5 miles total. If not, I did 26.5 miles. Either way it was a fun day.
What would you do differently?:

Charge my garmin the night before and keep better track of my laps.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around. Went to the expo area and layed down for a minute and stretched. Got some pizza and oranges and water and then went to the hotel and SS&S and watched TV.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My short Japanese legs. Fuggin' Japanese anyway.
