Comments: First time in a race of this size. Lined up around the middle of the pack and struck up a conversation with a guy waiting there as well. He told me about how this was his first race since Limphoma and Chemo. Said he was just happy to be there and alive still. Put things in perspective for me and I appreciate it. Based on an article from Runners World it suggested that in a race of this length you should not hold anything back at the start because there is no time to make it up at the end. So I really pushed myself hard early and held my pace at or a little below 8 for the first 2 miles. Struggled to hold it and slowed to 9 or so from 2 to 2.5. Picked it up again at the end and there was absolutely nothing left when I finished. What would you do differently?: Lined up a little closer to the front. I spent the first mile bobbing and weaving which was fun for a bit but I may have been a little closer to goal had it not been for this. dunno Post race

It was pretty cold out and my nerves where high for some reason. Went for a 1 mile jog and worked on feeling my pace at 8 minute miles.
