Pre-race routine:

only ate a quaker protein bar, coffee and OJ for breakfast. over teh next hour i had a snickers and heed.

Event warmup:

ride 3 miles to race, run 2 miles. stretch alot

Comments:

I knew i could not do my usual first mile because of injuries but i was hoping i could maintain teh same pace throughout. I just wasn't mentally up to that challenge.

What would you do differently?:

I let runners slip ahead rather than suck it up and hang with them.

I should not schedule back to back to back races.

walking (quarter mile), ride 3.5 miles easy

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of mileage and races too close together

Event comments:

Very competitive. I always enjoy this event. This my 6th year (my 5th best time). This is the first year I did not do the lifting portion. With the Arnold expo going on it feels like a world class event.
