Less than 2 weeks until Parris Island and trust everyone is ready. Hopefully the weather will be better than last year. We plan on spending Sat. evening on River St. for St. Patty's day and recovery seafood.

Wish I could be there.  I had a blast last year, but it just isn't in the budget this year.  Best of luck to everybody who is racing!

I'll be there! Helping out with packet pickup friday and around the FCA Endurance tent before and after the race.

One of my favorite races of the year for sure. Just hoping for some better direction out on the course this year though. Looking forward to seeing you out there!

5 days until the race. It looks like the weather is going to be nice. 69 and sunny with 0% chance of rain. It's not too late  to change your mind.

Parris Island Veterans, could you please share your experience in the pool.  Does it get jammed? Can you actually get to the wall and easily flip, when do you overtake people? Do people slow you down?
Never raced (triathlon) on a pool before..... thanks

It gets jammed. They allow10 seconds between swimmers but it is inevitable you will be passed or will need to pass. The lower bib numbers go pretty smooth but the slower swimmers tend to take rest breaks at the wall which makes flip-turns impossible. If someone taps you on your feet pause at the wall and let them pass then resume swimming. Also make sure you stay on the correct side of the lane. Some people never figure this out and crash into one person after another. Overall this is the most well run pool swim  I have seen. It is also spectator friendly.
