Hi, gents. Hope you enjoy. I know how much you love peeking!

Ladies, I'm encountering a problem I haven't experienced before, and just wondering if it is nothing or if I should keep an eye on it. After most of my runs, I get minor spotting for an hour or so. Nothing significant, but it seems to be somewhat worse with harder runs. Not sure what's going on. Normal when ramping up (I'm in a significant build right now, running exclusively)?

Not a lady, but I would See your MD as well.  Rule out a structural cause.  Cervical polyp, etc.

It does not seem right that you would spot after your runs.  Unless you are having some internal chafing (very unlikely, because it would hurt), you shouldn't be bleeding.  Agree with the other posters to go see your Gyn to rule out a problem.

Yeah, I agree about seeing your doctor.  I have never had any spotting when running, even through pregnancies.

Another vote for calling your doctor! I wouldn't call this normal.

I'd agree to give the doc a call but it could be something really minor.
Do you spot during sex?  Y'know, if that is happening.
I've had minor spotting issues over the years and my doc was able to take care of it in just a few moments in the office during a regular visit.
Make the appointment and find out.
Good luck!

I had the same problem... usually just minor spotting, but for longer, harder runs, it was a little less minor than minor, if you know what I mean.

Anyway - went to the doctor - turned out to be a benign polyp that would be irritated anytime I ran.  She took it out right then and that was the end of the issue.

So - nothing major, but it did require a doctor's attention.

Thanks for the responses. I'll check in with my doc - it's time for That Fun Exam anyway. Joy. Hopefully nothing!

Haven't had the appt yet - maybe it's somehow a spring thing? Mine seems to have gone away, but I'm also not running as hard as I was before. Weird!

I can't say I've had this happen, but it's probably worth mentioning. I haven't spotted since I went off BC and it's been wonderful.
