Pre-race routine:

Drove down and parked. Got race kit and then the bus to the start line at the top of Hamilton Mountain. Waited until the start time.
Event warmup:

Nothing much

Comments:

Very windy day, raining. Lost my hat at about 1k and turned around and then decided to forget it as I would be at start line before I retrieved it. A guy in front of me fell due to pot hole, so slowed for that and stopped to ensure he was ok. So could have been below 24 minutes I think. Also lots of head winds. So room for improvement in a summer 5K race.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing much
Post race
Warm down:

Bowl of Chilly and a pint of Keiths at the pub. Then the long drive back to Toronto.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Stopping for hat and the guy who fell. Head winds also a major factor.

Event comments:

Disorganised as the busses to the start were later. Started late due to the late busses.
