Pre-race routine:

Coffee, oatmeal and bannana 3.5 hours before. One vanilla gu with caff. twenty minutes out
Event warmup:

some light hills, 15 minutes jogging

Comments:

Well attended four miler in cloudy, rainy, colder conditions. Not much snap in my legs. Some mental lapses as well.
What would you do differently?:

More visualization, more hard speed work to prepare.
Post race
Warm down:

Run back on course to meet my brother Rob. Ran to finish line with him. Consumed many cold post race beverages. 1st Firefighter/P.O. overall.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not enough training or visualization.

Event comments:

Good race, encourage others to try it.
