Swim
Comments: very happy with the swim, got in and shot forward first 200 yrds, my sighting was nearly perfect. cought the first 3-4 in my AG and just followed the 4th and drafted till last bouy, i was on him like white on rice. unfortantely things started to get hairy near the end started catching people in 3 waves before us and there was alot of people on the course. What would you do differently?: not much, need to improve siting even more. swim in the ocean 1-2 times before the event will help with this. Transition 1
Comments: ran out of the water had to slow down a tad little out of breath. but got quickly to running. took off wetsuit and then just used legs to take it off. got all my stuff on and got on the bike. What would you do differently?: i need to practice taking off the wetsuit at least 2-3 times before a race...would have saved me at least 10-15 seconds. Bike
Comments: not sure what was up with me but I was afraid to push the bike was at a constant 160 bpm but my LT on the bike is 172-174 so i should hve been riding 165 bpm probably would have added easily .5 to the ave. What would you do differently?: need to make sure to push it a little more and not get comfy. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: did ok but not sure what took so long, usualy my T2 is 40+ seconds. i couldn't find myself. oh well need to practice transition 2-3 times before next race. Run
Comments: no running due to injury, tried to take it very easy. near the end felt a little worn out, no running in 6 weeks meant that I was going to get tired quickly. happy with the result. What would you do differently?: need to start running before the next race, there still some knee soreness but overall things are gettign better. Post race
Warm down: sat down and drank 1 bottle of water, poured one on myself and went to sign up for massage. about 30 min wait stretched Event comments: need to have some more food variety, i get it we are in economic slump but for $150 race there should have been more stuff. overall decent but director needs to work on this race a tad.
