  • 412 yards
  • 2h 25m 38s / 100 yards
Comments:

went out too strong and blew up at 10 laps
What would you do differently?:

slow down, and focus on breathing and relaxing
Transition 1
  • 10m
Comments:

remember to put on race number next time
Bike
  • 30h 00m
  • 16.7 miles
  • 0.56 mile/hr
Comments:

I more than likely would be better under load since my high cadence is not that good. HR wouldn't go above 159. Also, lost 2 minutes for volunteers to figure out my cleets wouldn't go in the pedals without removing cages
Transition 2
  • 05m
Run
  • 20h 00m
  • 2.87 miles
  • 6h 58m 07s  min/mile
Comments:

great
Post race
Warm down:

hot tub and sauna

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Felt like a brick in the pool. Should have swam during the week before to keep form

Event comments:

Next year tell the volunteer about your shoes being SPD SL before the start. Swim at least once during the week before to keep form

This was my second tri, and first one of the season.  I did this one last year and haven't done one since.  I felt I did pretty well in the bike and run but really don't feel I did my best in the swim.    I swam .5 mile the week before.  I felt like I was dying after 10 lengths on this day.  I know now that swimming is going to be a priority for me to work on between now and my next tri, the May 23 Xterra Series Last stand.

Overall, I still did well making up for the swim on the bike/run.  I place 5th overall and 4th in my class, tied with 2 others, out of 59 enterants
