I'm not since it is now an oly, but I did it a few years ago when it was still a sprint. It was my favorite bike and run course, but my least favorite swim. Swim was a VERY chilly 52 degrees. Plus, there is a ton of kelp and rocks that you have to deal with. At the end of the swim there is a climb up a very large staircase. The bike was awesome! It was one large loop of rollers with no crazy climbs that goes all through Goleta, Isla Vista, and campus. The run was fun and scenic. The race is highly catered to the college triathletes, but it is a great race....once you get past that swim!

Thanks for the intel.Actually, it is back to a sprint this year. 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.The BT entry was never properly updated (in fact, the date is also wrong).
