Run
Comments: Ran an awesome race. It has been a long time since I have run a 10k and I did not know what to expect. I ran the first lap pacing with a group of solid runners who turned out to be 5k runners and then I was very much alone. The whole second lap was just running by myself trying to hold my position. I was about a minute behind the next guy up and about 1 minute ahead of the first place female. I did drop two runners at mile 5 but they were fading fast and dropped way back. What would you do differently?: Run a bigger race with more competition. My 2nd lap was slower mostly because I did not have anyone pushing me. Post race
Warm down: 1 mile cooldown jog and some light stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Competition and lack of 10k specific training and recent experience. This was a tuneup race for Boston so I am not dissappointed. This was after all, a PR by 1:38. Event comments: I would do this race again. It is a great cause Last updated: 2010-03-20 12:00 AM
