Hey all, I see there is a p90x thread that is pretty popular here.  I did that last summer for a few months, got some muscle out of it, very pleased with my results.

Now I am doing the insanity workouts (from beachbody, same people that made p90x) and was wondering if anyone else has done/is doing the workouts now?  When I started them they were very tough on my legs, I swim in college so after season I started and my legs were not used to land workouts at all.  I am two weeks in and I can tell my legs are in much better shape now.  My cardio is about the same since it was already good from season...

Not sure where I am going with this, just wanted to see if anyone else is doing it and what they think of it.  I personally think the workouts are very tough, just not sure what exactly I am getting from them.

I have done some of the workouts, but have not done the program as written.  Too little time after the swim/bike/run to do this 6 days a week right now.  I thought, and still do that the type of workouts would compliment the run and bike training.  I am hoping after IMFL in November to do the program as written!

As far as the workouts, they are tough at first.  My biggest issue was my feet hurting, but someone suggested cross training shoes to give some side to side support and that helped.

Good luck with the program!!

I am doing a mixture of Insanity and P90x. We do a Boot Camp class on Mondays and alternate Insanity and P90x Tues thru Fri. I really like it, but my legs take a beating but in a good way. I am doing it with a group and most of us are triathletes who have done up to HIM and IM distance too.

Cross trainers definitely help. I can tell a huge difference in my knees after starting to wear them.

Have you found that Insanity maintains the muscle you gain in P90X?  I don't see any weight training, rather a ton of interval training.  As far as tri training, I'm sure Insanity is more beneficial than P90x in the off season.  I just prefer P90x to what I've seen online about Insanity.

I just received my Insanity Delux Program, it includes Max Sports Intervals,Insane abs,Upper body weighted workout. I ordered it to supplement my P90x workouts. Sean T does the weightlifting workout in a gym with dumbells. Its similar to a P90x workout in reps and sets, the difference I found is the pace is much faster much more like a cardio workout ( no stopping to talk to the folks and write things down like Tony does), because of that you get in more overall sets and exercises doing the weightlifting Insanity as well as keep your HR up.

Hi all! I have registered for my first sprint tri. I grew up swimming, but the running and bike I've had to push myself! My husband and I started doing P90X a few months ago and I love it. Recently, I purchased Insanity just to change things up a bit. It is so intense! I am hoping between the two and other tri training it will prepare me for this first one. I feel like I've already got the tri bug and I haven't finished my first one yet!

I've also been training with a bugled disc and I have found that after doing Insanity's Cardio Core Max and Cardio Abs the past two weeks I've had no pain.

Good Luck to all with Insanity....

Hey all,

I've done 2 rounds of P90X, 1 round of P90X+, and recently finished a round of Insanity!  That was a monster workout.  My cardio is through the roof.

Love the beachbody workouts!  I've never had a core this strong.

Tony is the best!

Just wanted to say that!

Has anyone finished the Insanity program yet?

I'm getting ready to finish a HIM and don't have plans for a big race again until November. I was thinking 60 days of Insanity might fit well in that break.

I finished it in Mid March, just before St. Patty's day.

Great workout!
