Amy, I think the letter said the course talk was only mandatory for first-timers.

I'm SO PUMPED UP!!!!!

I cannot wait to get out there on the course.

It seems like I will end up getting to the expo earlier than I originally thought. Hopefully I'll see you guys there. I be the one with two little kids stuck to me - a boy and a girl, ages 3 and 5. Let's see..... I will wear a sleeveless cotton T to the expo. That should make me easier to pick out. It will be a white shirt with swimming stuff on it.

Nice smiles on everyone. I'll just look for all the smiles and assume I found a BTer. Alice - I'll see you at the campground if I don't catch you at the expo. Hope everyone has a safe trip in. I know you'll all be checking your tri bag at least a dozen times to make sure you haven't forgotten anything. I've already done so.

Not racing this year due to injury, but say hi to me at the water station at the turn around on the run mile 6.

THANKS FOR VOLUNTEERING!

I should be at the 4pm meeting, looking to dominate the Mini Me Division (my dream division for bald guys 5'6" & under) in my 1st HIM.  For what I hope will be a post race celebration on Saturday Night, I Googled up places to eat & found Scotty's Brew Pub in what appears to be the College downtown area, about 3 miles from Hotel Row.  Outdoor dining, micro-brews & deep fried pickles, etc.  Anyone been there and have an opinion (or a better place for carb replacement)?

I have eaten at the Scotty's Brew Pub in West Lafayette and thought it was pretty good bar food.  I liked the fried pickles!

I will!

I've decided I'm going to be racing in a safety yellow bike jersey, so I can keep ice on board. Probably royal blue tri shorts. I might forget your name by the time I get to mile 6 - that's why I'm telling you all this!

I will wear the same outfit that is in my avatar, unless I decide to wear an orange Zoot top.  It may be better if we swim without wetsuits.

I completely agree!!!  I loved the bike course!!  Run was a bit brutal for me considering that I live in a very flat area but I still loved the scenery!

Congratulations to everyone that raced!!
