Comments:

Plan was to use this as tune up for next months Marathon up in Green Bay. Plan was to run comfy @ pace i want for the marathon and just relax and have fun at this. started back in the pack and ended up bobbing and weaving some thru the crowd until i saw some familiar faces and knew they would be running around the pace i wanted. In all there were about 12 to 15 people in this group and group dynamics took control...........pace was faster than i was hoping for, but was feeling comfy. Got to the 5ish mile mark and realized my mind was slipping into race mode and wanted out of that bigtime as again, i wasnt racing this event, that wasnt the goal. seperated myself from that group and hit the turn around in 41:12 and actually felt pretty dam good to be honest. settled into a nice comfy pace after that and just cruised in.
What would you do differently?:

have to get nutrition down pat again as this is the second race in a row now that i have been affected by a blood sugar crash of sorts. about mile 11 i started feeling a "crash" coming on and tapered back a bit more. came across the line, stole nashers apple, went the chip/cookie/soda buffet line and gorged. then i felt better!!
Post race
Warm down:

stretched some, walked around, cheered in some friends!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nadda

Event comments:

if looking for a low budget race, this would be a must do on the list!!
