Comments:

I had a very good swim. I caught the woman who started in front of me, and she stopped at a wall to let me pass at 200 or 250 meters. The guy behind me never caught up.
Time includes approximately 50 yard run from natatorium to timing mat at transition area outside.
Good swim overall - 15 seconds faster than 2009.

Comments:

Bike course was slightly different than 2009. It was supposed to be harder this year. It seemed about the same to me, but maybe a little longer. Bike distance was more like 16.5 miles according to my bike computer, making my pace closer to 19 mph.
What would you do differently?:

Continue to work on bike fitness.

Good T2! 15th fastest overall, and 1 second faster than 2009.

Comments:

Ran negative splits - Checked watch at turnaround, and ran 2nd half about 1.5 minutes faster than 1st half. Took 2 sips of water at turnaround. Very good run for me. Nearly 2 minutes faster than 2009!!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

General conditioning. My fitness level has improved drastically, but there is still a lot of room for improvement.

Event comments:

This is an excellent race for first timers or experienced triathletes who want an early-season race to shake things out after the winter.
