Subject: cleaning aerobar pads?

After a 60miles ride and 3.5 hours on the bike, mostly on my aerobars, I got some chaffing spots on my arms from the pads. Haven't been on as long of a ride since, but have used body glide on my arms.

Anyway, do you wash or disinfect your aerobar pads? Is there anything else I can do to prevent chaffing?

I haven't done anything with mine yet and I have ridden about 1200 miles on them. I did just order another set from All3sports.

I meticulously clean the rest of my bike, so I will be interested to see what people say. I would suspect you could just drop them into the wash with the rest of the "tri-stank" clothes as my wife calls them. I would just set them out to dry and not run them through the dryer. I would also check with the manufacturer before I did.
