Comments:

Felt alright getting on the bike but about 10 miles in started getting sick at my stomach, backed off the pace and felt like I might regroup but went really south from there.
What would you do differently?:

I am not sure where I went wrong hopefully just did not hydrate properly but just do not know what to fix????

Comments:

no room on rack so just laid bike down got shoes on and off I went
Run
  • 1h 19m 48s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 12m 51s  min/mile
Comments:

instantly knew it was not going to be a great run but I really had no idea how bad. Stomach got real upset at about the 5k mark and had to go in woods and throw up, made me feel better initially but about mile 4 got real sick at stomach again tried to throw up but nothing left, so I would walk til stomach settled down and then run about 100 yards and feel like I was going to puke again and repeat.
What would you do differently?:

Again not sure what caused my issues was very comfortable with my preparation but really missed something
Post race
Warm down:

Laid in transition and then stood hanging over bike rack for about 30 minutes then went and laid in truck air conditioning for another 30 minutes

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mental and physical breakdown/ worst I ever remember

Event comments:

The lines for packet pick up took forever and no water on bike course the post race may have been fine I wasn't there but guys who did race with me were not to impressed. I do not want to be too negative since most of the suck was caused by me, Nice shirts and plenty of water on the run.

It was a rough day out there between the chop on the swim, the wind on the bike and all...you did well in the circumstances.
