Hello,

My name is Mike. I just helped out some friends with the MS150 this past weekend and someone talked me into trying a sprint triathlon soon. I'm 6'3" and 315 lbs or so, so I have a long way to go before I can really hope to do something like that. I was training for the MS150, a 150 mile Bike ride from Houston to Austin, but had to drop out because of an injury. I will do it next year though.

Hats off to all you. It's so amazing reading some of the stories and how far people have come. Very motivational, please keep them coming!

Welcome Mike! I am in NW Houston off hwy 6! You can totally do this dude! Lots of triathletes come from the same place! A sprint is a great way to get started and we have lots in the area to choose from. Eastside Tri is going to be my husbands first.

Welcome! I'm new to the Tri world as well. I am training for my first Sprint Tri, as well as getting acclimated to Houston (just moved here in January). Keep track of your goals, as well as your progress. I found that once I registered for an event, it created a sense of urgency to participate.
