Comments:

started in corral 6, was shooting for a low 1:50 time.. went out at an 8:30 pace for the first mile and felt good.. kept it there and gauged per mile how I felt and adjusted accordingly.. back half was a negative split as my pace picked up a little. This race knocked 10 min off of my previous 1/2 PR so i'm pretty stoked about it! Beat the nasty weather in and enjoyed the run.. hope to get a little better base in next year and push this down to mid-low 1:40 range.
What would you do differently?:

little more run training of longer runs, started feeling my legs around 10 miles in and needed to mentally push..

What limited your ability to perform faster:

longer base runs/work/time available.

Event comments:

always a good race. unfortunately they had to deal with some pretty severe weather this year, but I think their course of action was right on.. i know it pissed some off, but i'm sure it was the best choice in the long run.

Congrats on the PR!  

I'm glad the weather held off too.  and i had the exact same feeling as you at mile 10  that last bit through downtown and over the overpass seemed like 6 miles instead of 3
