nothing really

Comments:

quick run in - felt like change to bike shoes went well - bike was hung up with others due to such close quarters
What would you do differently?:

nothing really - things where wet so caution was needed

Comments:

bike was my best part of the day - made up some spots I gave away early not realizing it was a shotgun start not a mat start - my mistake - seeing so many flats and some nasty wrecks did get to me somewhat
What would you do differently?:

drink more - not a lot more but i did need more for 2nd run

Comments:

this run hurt - last uphill to finish chute was very hard
What would you do differently?:

not sure what I could have done I left it all out there without blowing up
Post race
Warm down:

drank the gatorade and walked/stretched for awhile

What limited your ability to perform faster:

overall time invloved in endurance sports

Event comments:

race was great - volunteers where great - post race activities where lacking and the food was sub par - sorry I don't eat pizza - it seemed they forgot about the after race part all together - the richmond tri-club put up the food as far as I know so kudos to them for that

not 100% sure of overall participants - all the web sites just say nearly 1300 as a record amount - lots of DNF's

Thanks QZ!
Yeah the 1st downhill into the turn onto the bridge was a little nerve racking. My 1st time down there was a bad wreck up against one of the cars blocking the street for the race - kind of un-nerved me for few minutes. I saw so many flats too, I really was worried about that but I also felt really bad for the people that flatted out and you could tell they where done.
It was a awesome experience though.
