Tempe International Triathlon : Official Thread

I'm in for the olympic. I feel like I haven't raced in forever.

Not sure I'll be ready... It'll probably be a game time decision for me, but I'd do the oly. Does anyone know if it's close to being sold out?

Yeah, I'm in foer the 4th year in a row. This was my very first triathlon back in 2006. Can't say I'm pysched for it, I am really tired of racing around TTT and the crappy bike course but it is convenient.

I'M IN...well...kinda. In my mind I am committed but I haven't registered yet. Still recovering from a nasty cold bug that the family had but starting to feel better and had a great time trial in the pool this morning...sooooooo....pretty sure I will be registering for the Olympic Distance!
I am doing SheRox Sprint Tri the weekend before, so will be good practice in TTL and Tempe Int'l will be my first Olympic Distance - whoo hoo! wonder how the weather is gonna play out...been so weird lately.

I'm in for my first Oly this time.  Did the sprint last year as my first real tri (on my mtn bike), so I'm stoked to be stepping up to the longer distance.  I couldn't stomach paying the nearly $10 fee that active.com was charging to register online, so I mailed in my registration a week or so ago...I hope it doesn't get lost in the mail!

I'll be there doing the Sprint.  I'm excited.  It's my first Tri!

I'm registered for the sprint. Just did my 1st Oly this last weekend and I'm glad I'm doing the sprint. My 1st sprint I was at 1:31 and I hope to be in the 1:20 range for this one. My run is killing my tri times and I hope to get that a bit better within the next 3 weeks. Hope to see everyone there.

Not racing, but thinking about planning my ride down there to spectate/cheer....either that or I'll drive down and get my run in.... either way, I'll be down there cheering/supporting the BT peeps

If you train really hard and mentally prepare yourself for this...I know you can finish. You might not be fast but the accomplishment of crossing the finish line will be your reward.

I just don't know if I can pull off this miracle.

I hope that you know that I was kidding, right? I might make an Oly in sub 11 hrs.

I'm registered for the oly.  It will be my first tri back since breaking my femur  back in July 09.  My run still is REALLY slow but I've been trying to get back.  Should be fun. 

Also updated another thread about meeting up at Butcher Jones in the morning for a swim if anyone is interested, early is great if there is any other early birds out there!! Sorry for the short notice..

Not going out early tomorrow. I would like to get another OWS in before Tempe but not tomorrow. Probably going to try to hook up with the First Wave people out at Lake Pleasant.

Posted this on other threads, but anyone down to meet up at Butcher Jones' Friday pm or Sat for some swimming?
