Subject: Tri Shop help in St. Pete and help with Bike considerations

I tried to go through previous post for help with these and didn't see one that offered answers to my specific questions.  First, I'm a complete novice, just now began training (C2Sprint).  My run training is coming along and I only have a beach cruiser as a bike ... obvious immediate need is a bike.  My plans are to train for sprint tri's and maintain some physical health.  I'm over 40 so do not have aspirations of being a professional.  So to my question, are their some acceptable entry level bikes I should look at that aren't too terribly expensive.  Oh, and is there a shop in St. Pete that is Tri focused?

Many thanks for the input,

Bruce

There are a few bike shops in ST Pete but i can't remember the names of them off the top of my head.  Outspokin Bicycles is in Clearwater, there are a few bike shops in tampa as well as the Ironman Store in New Tampa.  I've got great service from Ironman and Outspokin, both carry alot of Tri stuff too.

I am the RETUL fitter at Outspokin Bicycles in Clearwater.  Feel free to contact me directly at 727-723-2453with any questions you may have.  We specialize in Tri and are involved with most of the triathlons in the area.  I would be happy to spend time answering any questions you may have directly.

I bought my Cervelo P1 from Outspokin bikes before Chilly Willy Duathlon and it was my first new bike in 10 years.  I would definately buy from them again.  Now I need to save my pennies for a Retul...

Thanks a bunch and I'll give you a shout this week.  I am a total and ask a lot of questions so apologies up front.  Just want to ensure I'm making the best informed decision I can.

Thanks again,

You can't go wrong with Outspokin'. I bought my Cervelo from them, my first tri/road bike and they were awesome and very knowledgeable. It helps to go to a tri-friendly LBS like them, they understand what you want and need more than a roadie place would.
