Overall Rank = 146/166
Age Group = 30-35 Women
Age Group Rank = 8/11
Pre-race routine:

Packed the jeep, snuck a piece of bannana nut bread, gassed up and hit the road. There were some NASTY thunderstoms coming through, but luckily the heavy stuff was gone by the start of the race.
Event warmup:

Stretched, chatted w/ Trish and Kevin.
Run
  • 30m 24s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 46s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt good and could have pushed it a little harder! This is a PR for me for a 5K! (I know it doesn't really count since this wasn't a stand alone 5K, but who cares...I'm taking it).
What would you do differently?:

Push just a little harder to finish in under 30:00.
Transition 1
  • 01m 13s
Comments:

I was pretty darn excited about my 5K time. My transition times are horribly slow. Didn't hustle at all.
What would you do differently?:

Hustle
Bike
  • 41m 26s
  • 12.2 miles
  • 17.67 mile/hr
Comments:

I have no complaints about my bike performance. I could have pushed just a little harder, but wanted to have something left for the 2nd run.
What would you do differently?:

Push just a little harder, otherwise I'm happy with my ride.
Transition 2
  • 02m 4s
Comments:

Blah
What would you do differently?:

Hustle
Run
  • 33m 22s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 10m 44s  min/mile
Comments:

This was tough. It took me the first mile before my legs felt half-way normal. Walked at the water stations. Felt like I was just shuffling my feet. I felt slow.
What would you do differently?:

Force myself to run the entire way...no breaks even at the aid stations.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Run training.

Event comments:

This was my first 3D race since Big Fish a few years ago. Everything went off just perfect. They did a very nice job.

Great job out there today  Congrats on the PR for the 5K.  I PR'd my 5K this morning as well.  First time I broke into the 8's/mile in a real race!!  8:58 min/mile, but it still counts
