Bad news...The last 6 weeks I have had a serious sinus infection, torn miniscus, sprained mcl, vacation, sick kids, and as soon as I get back to training a very broken toe...Havent really trained much in 6 weeks and have a sprint (my first) in August...

Good news or crazy news...my wife and I have decided to do the Disney Marathon in January...We are talking to the local TNT person and hope to do it through them...Now I have never run over 5miles so I have a ton of raodwork to do..But it is for a good cause and if I have to walk part of it I will...

Congrats! Disney should be fun.  My husband and I have been thinking about the Goofy challenge, but we haven't decided yet.

The goofy thing is a bit to much for me, maybe next year. Plus we would be taking the kids with us, I wouldnt dump all 4 of them on the grandparents for 2 days in a row...

Cool...we will have to hook up down there...I would do the Goofy thing and my wife wants me too. But I dont see it. I havent been able to train for 6weeks. I am not a "runner" matter of fact I hate running...I doubt we do it. But if when it gets close we think we can and there is still open registration I might think about it..

I told the wife about you doing the goofy thing and wanting people to do it with you... I told her there is NO WAY either of us could keep up with you anyway...How about a BT party at downtown disney Sat night?

Party? umm...the marathon is on Sunday so I will not be partying. I might be up for partying after, however, I don't know how I will feel.

I will feel up for FOOD for sure though!

Take it easy, heal first
If everything goes OK I hope to see you in Disney!
I ran Disney in January. The best marathon for a beginner (and a family). It was my first marathon. I never ran more than 4 miles before I started training in August. I followed Hal Higdon novice program, I am sure you will finish with TNT support. Just follow the 10% rule and try to stay injure free.
