A little over a month til Woodstock's season opener.  I've been slacking...gonna get my together and go hard for the next few weeks.

Hope to see some people out there.  I didn't see anybody from BT at Lakeside in September, although I know a few were there.  How do you all run into each other - do you wear BT gear?

Anyway, happy training and good luck to everyone.

Cindy

I'll be at Woodstock for the Sprint (Saturday).  Its a great idea to meet up with fellow BT'ers. I'm open to suggestions on how to organize it. I'm the gravitationally challenged guy on the blue/gray Cervelo P2.

p.s. I was there at the Lakeside in September (the Sprint) - I was the Bozo who got DQ'ed for centre-line violation. Yell

I am consideing this one, have to clear it with the SO.  I think it would be a good way to motivate me early in the season.

We should come up with a Sign or Some BT gear, I do need a tri top... hmmmm

At Muskoka 70.3 in 2008 there were a few BTers. At the athletes dinner I decorated 3 balloons with "Beginner Triathlete" with red and blue markers and tied them to my chair.  It attracted a couple people.  At the race I was able to find a couple others in transition on race morning by looking for their race numbers on the racks.
You can see my 'sign' here  http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=10133&photoid=82314

oooo, I like the balloon idea, since they'll fly above the crowds.

OK, I'm getting pumped and excited - the first tri of the season is just 36 hrs. away. Woo-Hoo! Though now I'm kinda wishing I actually trained more this spring...

Feel free to say 'hi' if you see me at the race - I'll be the follically challenged guy (shaved head) in the white top and light gray shorts.

Cheers,
Mark

No pre race email here. They have some sort of 'audio-blog' thing on their website (which seems to be down right now).  I just plan to show up about 1 hr. before the race  and figure it all out then... Good luck and maybe see you there.

What a great day - the weather cooperated and the new venue is excellent.
Corey - It was good to meet you in person (psssst. Next time stick around for the Draw Prizes - it would have been worth your while.... that's all I'm saying Sealed)

I had the slowest swim in 3 years. My 600m swim time was slower than some of my 750m swims last year.  I guess I know what to work on next....

I also thought it was a great venue.  The area outside transition seemed larger than Lakeside.  Not near as crowded - maybe just fewer people...?

My swim also sucked!...LOL...hitting the pool hard for the next couple of months.  Still need to learn how to swim in a straight line without the black line on the bottom of the pool...hmmm
