Subject: Singlet at T1
So i am new Triathelete and i have my first sprint distance race in late June in Philadelphia. Ive already decided after reading my blogs and forums that a wetsuit is unneccesary but what i am still confused about is wether to swim with my singlet on or put it on at T1. I plan on purchasing a singlet claiming to be made for swimming, biking and running. Am I better off wearing the singlet through the swim to cut down on transition time or just putting it on at T1? Thanks all.

if it's a tight fitting race top then it may be tough to get on when you're wet.  I'd wear it for all 3, much easier.

If by singlet you mean one piece tri-suit, then yes. Swim, bike, and run in it. No need to do any changing.

In fact, USAT has strick rules against public nudity...Who knew??

One-piece suit -- no problems, wear it throughout the event.

If you're talking about a tri jersey, something you may be able to do is this -- before the start, put it on, then unzip it and ROLL it down your body and tuck it into your shorts. It's MUCH easier to roll it up your body than to try to slide it over wet skin at T1. And if it's a full-zip jersey, then disregard that and just put it on in T1.

Wear the tri top the entire race.

Wear it the entire way.  Make sure it's skintight.
