trying to get my darling husband to start watching what he eats.  Suggested WW for men, but he said he would rather count calories.  I know him, and I know he won't do it if it's not easy and technological.  He has a Google Phone that runs on Android.

So -- best apps for calorie counting on Android?  Thanks for any advice you can give here.

I use an app called Calorie Counter. It is easy to use. Food can be manually input, searched by different catagories like Foods, Restaurants/Chains, popular brands, and Supermarket brands.

There is also a barcode scanner that will populate many foods nutiritional info. The app also has a food diary, exercise diary, diet calendar, and weight tracker.

I have used the exercise diary much or the diet calendar but it was a free app and seems to be pretty solid. The food database is pretty extensive, I don't think there have been many (if any) foods that I couldn't locate.

I use calorie counter and bar scanner as well...it makes tracking so easy!!  and if you eat some of the same items consistanly, it keeps a list of most eaten foods, so you dont ahve to constantly do a search

Just signed up for SparkPeople.  That seems pretty neat.  I really need to get back on the wagon.  I already ate more than what I should at 3:30 if I want to be losing weight.
