So what is it? Can I participate? With the knee, being sick, kids sick etc...I havent trained in 6weeks (a couple swims is it) and I have a tri in a month. I need to seriously get back into and I am being lazy. I need some competition to get my butt in gear. I have gained 7pounds in the last month and need to melt them off....

Looks like it's shaping up to be a brick challenge, if the think tank can work out the details.

I dunno...sounds a little dangerous to me. Might be asking for a lot of over-trained, injured BT-ers.

How about a beer challenge?

That would be no fun for the other participants because I would automatically win. They would immediately become demoralized by falling far behind and staying there.

I'm thinking a BRICK CHALLENGE would have to be on the HONOR SYSTEM (as the others were) that it was actually a brick and not bike in the morning and run in the evening.

Also, maybe make this one individual.  You hit your mark, you WIN....you don't, you LOSE!!  Losers face the consequences.....whatever they may be.

And ONLY those distances that were from BRICK workouts count toward the challenge.  NO counting the run you got in over lunch or the ride you slid in before the storm hit and crap like that.

my 2 pesos on the topic.

I'm not sure what the geographical qualifications are for being a redneck, but I do live in Iowa, so we're not talking Renaissance men here, or anything. And yes, I'm a Bud Light girl, if I can't get a Corona or a Sam Adams, which I usually can't.  And don't be too cocky, I am very confident in my abilities.
