So I did my first swim/T1/bike workout this morning and realized how important it was not to just have regular cotton socks...any recommendations on what to wear so my feet won't be soaking wet for the rest of the race?  Just look for "running" socks that are "moisture wicking"?

Don't wear socks on the bike.

Roll your socks off your feet and put them on/in your running shoes and roll them onto your feet when you get to T2 if you must use socks at all.

No socks for sprint, optional socks for OLY, socks for anything longer.

And Black colored socks for the long stuff.

Ya know... nobody likes "yellow" socks at the end of an IM.

I personally don't wear socks to race, but my preferred brand of sock for wet conditions (and all conditionsm, really) is smartwool. I like the PhD ultralight running micro.

balega socks are my favorite for running.  They're just so stretchy and comfy.
they are equally as comfortable soaking wet, and they take just seconds to slip on.

I'm just not competitive enough to worry about a few seconds at this point.

Get Lycra socks for aerodynamics.
