Run
Comments: started off fast, felt ok but a little fast, settled in to a good pace which ended up being 6:20, course was a little long but not much, good opening run it was what I had hoped for. What would you do differently?: not much start out a little slower Transition 1
Comments: little slow in transistion, trouble with helmet strap, overall not bad could cut about :10-15 seconds off What would you do differently?: practice Bike
Comments: this was only my 5th bike outside this year, did this race to see where I was at, also on my back up bike since my Guru is being repaired. I only had about 4 miles at the start where I averaged around 22 mph, then dropped off. never could get comfortable on the Trek, was only in the aero position about 60% of the time. stayed as strong as I could, only 2 people passed me and one was a relay so I guess it was too bad. What would you do differently?: need to make some adjustments to the road bike, just not comfortable in the aero position. Also get out and ride, I have 3 weeks to get this average back over 22 Transition 2
Comments: good second T2 was in and out fairly fast, little longer walk with the bike then T1 What would you do differently?: nothing Run
Comments: ran good, once I got my legs back was able to pick the pace up on the second mile, no one passed my on the run What would you do differently?: nothing ran as well as I could Post race
Warm down: none What limited your ability to perform faster: lack of bike training and not riding the road bike in the last 3 years Event comments: great race for the price $25. They do a good job organizing, blocking traffic and had plenty of awards. Last updated: 2010-05-09 12:00 AM
