Subject: Need help determining Heart rate zones
I would appreciate any help.

I looked at the Karvonen Formula and I think I got my target zone.

How do I determine the other levels and is my target zone considered zone 2?

I tested my max on a treadmill this morning.

Resting Heart Rate - 56

Max Heart Rate - 184

Age - 35

If I did the formula correct I think my target heart rate is 139 - 165

How do I determine the other zones. This stuff is confusing to me.

Russ,

I would not use the Karvonen method to establish your THRZ's as it can be inaccurate. You may want to read through some of the Q&A on this thread as it will help you determine your THRZ's based on LTHR (Lactate Threshold HR) which is much more accurate.

You may want to do a search of the forums.  This topic has been discussed many times and there is good info in some of the old threads.

I agree with Brian, use LT instead of max HR.  A good reference for this is the book The Triathlete's Training Bible by Joe Friel.
