 Hi all-

If you need to post the race results after the race or updates as the race is going, would you please not include the results in the heading of your post. Unfortunately I can't watch the race live everyday so I need to watch the rebroadcast later in the evening. I know last year there were several times when I would open a forum only to see "Lance wins the stage" and that takes all the fun out of watching it that night.

Thanks

Tom

I am with you on this one Tom. It is common forum etiquette not to post results of anything in the title of threads for the benefit of those who do not yet know the results. I too will probably watch the recorded coverage rather than the live coverage.

what is so hard about typing "TdF SPOILER" in the subject line? That way people can chose to skip the thread or not. "Don't read the forum" is not especially useful or helpful. I'm sure the board owner does not want readers run off because of TdF results being posted!

I'm going to type "TdF Spoiler" in all my threads, just so I can talk about Tom behind his back in them.

I'm also with Tom on this issue.  And Special K, rudeness doesn't get us anywhere.  Many of us like to read the forum every day to intereact about the sport we love, triathlon, yet we'd like the day's TdF results to remain in their proper place in case we want to watch on TV without already knowing what happened.

i agree, the results can/should be discussed in the threads themselves, but courtesy should prevent posting results in titles of the threads.

Why the animosity, Mike?

Because he's getting all defensive about posting "Lance punks Ullrich"
