I considered not reporting my weight this week because I gained too. So give yourself credit for being accountable and sticking to it. Sounds like you know exactly where you went wrong, so no doubt you will be right back on track this week. Stay the course, looks like you've been doing great so far. Thanks Jackie, I'm still so far away from my goal so I think I was letting myself getting discouraged - but I can't think that way. I know I've come really far in the past 5 months and that is what I need to focus on. I did eat properly today and I got in my exercise first thing this morning which is important in this ridiculous heat. I absolutely abhor heat and humidity. Good luck to you this week - BTW, you looked great in your before and after pictures - nice job. |

Its been hard for me not to workout, but I want to do well in my race, so I'm sticking to the plan. Anyways, keep at it everyone! Here's my month thus far: End of May: 214 June 2nd: 212 June 9th: 208 June 16th: 205 June 23rd: 202 June 30th: My goal was 204, so I'm now hoping to be at an even 200 at the end of the month! Great Job!! |

Pro 4353 Wallingford, PA | Subject: RE: TEAM SKINNY - June a marriage of weight and goal (June2010) Woo-hoo! 148 this morning! I FINALLY broke through the 150 barrier! The hotter weather helps me, I think -- I just don't feel like eating as much when it's as hot as it is now. I also think that since I'm getting closer to my ideal weight, the scale is probably probably going to be moving a little slower now - but I'll keep plugging away until I get there! |

For every time you enter a swim, bike, run, strength, & physical activity, your log on the calendar (upper left side of your log) turns the color peach. |

I'm at 205. Two pounds to go to meet goal (again) for the month. I start with a personal trainer on Monday so I'm pumped! |

Peachy is when your log turns the color peach. For every time you enter a swim, bike, run, strength, & physical activity, your log on the calendar (upper left side of your log) turns the color peach. I don't think I would be able to tell that since I am color blind. Once I get back to real training, I will start to use the logs again. Right now, I am swimming 3 days and running 3 days but no biking yet. Still afraid to get on the bike with my back issues. My dad is coming down though in a few weeks and has a new bike. I may try to get back on so we can ride together.

I was just at Costco today staring longingly at the double pack of Nutella. When my daughters saw what I was staring at they said 'oh, can we get some?'. In my mind I could see myself sneaking spoonfuls of it daily. I told the girls there is just too much sugar in it & we kept on walkin'!Edited by ingleshteechur 2010-06-24 5:51 PM |

I totally caved last week and let my kids get some Little Debbie snack cakes. Guess who ate half the box? I need to remind myself that I control 100% what food comes into my house. Good for you! |

Elite 4583 | Subject: RE: TEAM SKINNY - June a marriage of weight and goal (June2010) Yeah, passing that stuff up is hard, but better in the long run. If it's in the house, it's dangerous-and the kids don't need the junk food either! They're constantly amazed at their friend's pantries--licorice, chips, candy candy candy. Our pantry...almonds, rice cakes, Cliff Bars, gels, and occassionally some Baked Lays! |

91 | Subject: RE: TEAM SKINNY - June a marriage of weight and goal (June2010) Hey all, I peeked at my weight on Friday because I was so bummed about the weight gain that I didn't think should be there. Must have just been water weight because by Friday I was under where I had been the week before. I'm on track to hit goal so I'm very excited. I did kick it up a notch this week too. Yesterday I ran/walked (mostly walked) 7 miles through the trails which have tons of hill, and I gardened for a long time too. I got in some bike riding on Friday, not too far, but it felt good. I have a question about flexibility for anyone who can help. I've never been the most flexible person in the world but lately I seem to be tightening up even more. I actually enjoy stretching after working out, but I assume I'm not doing it right because I've been feeling so stiff. Any advice? BTW, I was the only cheerleader in 8th grade who couldn't do a split - that still bugs me. Is it too late to learn? Are there some people who are incapable of doing a split? |
