Well I guess running in 92 degrees and like 100 percent humidity yesterday will have me ready.  I am in Indy right now.

As of yesterday the temp in the James was 84F and a 1.25 mph current.  Even the water is clearer than normal.  Unless something darastic happens upriver it looks like we are doing Option 1 on the swim.  Lets hope that current holds and dosn't go up! LOL

See you Sunday!

I was hoping for a strong current so we could swim downstream. The water temp is still going up. It is going to be a hot swim. I just got notified that I might have to work Sunday morning. I don't think that is going to happen!

I am going to have a red camp chair in or near the Richmond tri club tent with a Beginnertriathlete.com sign on the back. I will also be sporting a Richmond Tri Club tatoo on my right bicep. Come by and say hi. If I am not in the chair feel free to use it.

Hey Dan... Cool I'll come by and say hi.  I'll be in a navy with yellow trim Zoot top with a K2 TT bike.  Same as in my profile photo. Hopefully the lower temps today and Sat will keep the water temps stable. Looks like it's going to be a warm ride and hot run! Was the same for Breezy Point a few weeks back lol.  If I am correct in that they rack us by Last Name I will be in the P section.

They do rack by last name but the since the racks are marked by Bib# it can be challenging to find folks. I will be in the H section near Marilyn. Hopefully we can post our bib numbers here and it will be easier to find each other.
I am not looking forward to the heat. I have not trained in it enough this year and find that it really saps me on the run portion. Looking forward to the race though.

Looking forward to this race.  Just got into town after a horrible ride down I-95.  They mentioned something at packet pickup about moving the swim start upstream about 15 minutes.

We did that swim during one of the preswims. We just walked up river 500 meters and got in at a boat landing and swam back down to the dock at the park. Most of the walk is on the trail but there is some gravel right before you get to the boat landing. No problem really. I don't think it took 10 minutes but there will be alot us us so it could get crowded at the start area. I believe Laurie said it will be an in-water start.

I am bib #177. See you there!

Diet Pepsi and Mojo bars. Breakfast of the champions.

I may not be fast on the hills (or anywhere for that matter). But I know the right people (QueenZipp, the toiletpaper man).

Yeah, that hill looks fun......you are not going to be the only person walking up it tomorrow.  Maybe someone will be kind enough to put a lemonade stand up somewhere in the middle.

Well, no lemonade stand....but there was a great group of people cheering and blowing horns not too far from that hill.

All in all i loved that race.  The swim seemed long but it was not bad....the bike was a smooth ride with a couple of nasty speed bumps and the run was by far the best one I have done yet.  The after race pulled pork was to die for also.
