well, since i'm bitter about not racing this weekend at tejas or in a few weeks up at buffalo springs, mainly because i'm to lazy to train for either, i went ahead and registered for bridgelands today.  was in lukes locker this afternoon and nick said it was almost sold out, 90% full or something like that. 

 great race.  hopefully i'll be a little faster this year.   AND hopefully the rd will ice the beer down this year!!!   ;-)

I want to race it bad, but we are expecting a new baby towards the end of August.  My wife is SOOOO selfish she thinks I should be at home rather than racing.

First labors average 18+ hours.
You will only be gone a short time & you will be close to home.
Train hard and your time will be shorter than the average errand.
She can hang out in the Bridgelands pool until you get back, water = pregnant woman's friend.

I thought it was later in the month. 

Maybe the wonderful RD will give me up to a week in advance of transferring to next years race if the baby arrives early instead of 3 weeks as the website indicates.  Aaron?

I'm registered! Trying to talk my husband into registering too before it fills up (would be his first).

Feels like its going to be a long wait til August, I don't think I will be able to get in another race between now and then.

Aaron told me he might consider letting the ladies go first at Bridgeland, right Aaron?  So maybe we'll be finishing together afterall.
