Swim was ok overall. It was congested at the first bouy and I had a difficult time getting around people, but despite all of that I was still faster than last year

Maybe enter the water at the back of the pack

I wanted to improve T1 this year so I decided to leave my shoes connected to the bike ride without socks

not struggle getting started on the bike

The run felt slow to me and was much slower than last year. I had a side cramp for 90% of the run so I paced myself slower then picked it up at the very end.
What would you do differently?:

next time I will not eat a bunch for fruit right before the race and not drink too much water on the bike

What limited your ability to perform faster:

side cramp and training focused on half iron man in the fall (long duration low intensity right now)

Those are some FAST transition times!  Nice work.  One of these days, I'm going to give you a run for your money.  Maybe at Rev3...watch out!!
