Is your favorite sport also your best?  I'm strongest in the run, but I think I like swimming the most, and sometimes biking (I recently got a new bike!)

My favorite changes. Sometimes it's cycling or swimming. Hardly ever is it running. I find it changes when I add a new drill, or new route, anything that changes it up and makes it feel new and exciting.

Does it have to be a tri discipline?  I suck at all 3 but coincidentally, my best sport would be bodybuilding while my favorite would be triathlon.  The non-conformist in me challenged myself to do a 180* and go a different route with my life to add something new.

If you are talking strictly tri discipline, I think I like the bike the most but I'm better at swimming than the other two.

In terms of where I finish in my AG, swimming is my best sport, but I enjoy the bike leg the most.

My favorite and best sport is football.  However it is really not too helpful for triathlon

I suck at them all but I enjoy running the most.  There are days when I feel like I could run all day long.

I really like cycling now, but it is my weakest sport. I'm a FOP swimmer and middle FOP runner...but I'm a MOP Cyclist.

Need to work on that...lol.

used to be running was my best, but biking was my favorite. I had a bit of falling out with biking  last year with seeing little improvement, dispite  focus and putting in lots of work on getting better. So now I'm still best at running and its my new favorite.

Yes, bike.

Least favorite is swim, also least trained, which = least performance.

Favorite = bike, Best = swim, Downfall = run

I simply hang on for the run.  Really, it's not a run.  More like a shuffle.  Or stumble.  I might as well just walk.

I've been cycling for the longest by far, so it's easily my best. My favorite depends on how my training is going. I like seeing the significant progress my swim/run has made over the last 6 months (easy to have significant progress when you start from 0), so my favortite to train currently switches between the two.

In a race however, my favorite == my best. It's much more fun to pass people on the bike than to be passed on the swim/run... actually few people pass me on the swim because I start in the back anyway

Yeah, I added that one. The worst part about having the swim as your best and the run as your worst, is once you get out of the water, you have already passed everyone you're going to pass. On the run, I am never chasing anyone in front of me, just watching people whiz by.

There is usually someone who is having a rough day that you can pass somewhere along the line.  I'm horrible at the run but even I get to pass someone.  At the last race, I got a boost when I passed a guy who was walking.  He was wearing a sun glasses, a cool race hat, matching outfit, 3 watches (one was probably a HR monitor?) and a fuel belt with 3 bottles.  I couldn't help but think, "lucky for me you prepared with your wallet and not your training."

I was definitely exaggerating a little - I usually get to pass at least a couple people on the run as long as I'm not in the first wave. But considering my slow run pace, if I'm a faster runner than guys in my AG, odds are I was also faster in the water and on the bike.

I feel the same way.....I call my "run" a death shuffle. It would be insulting to runners to call my run a "run" Tongue out

It constantly changes for me.  I'm not naturally gifted in anything, nor will I be elite at any one activity no matter how hard I try.

I used to spend a lot of time bowling, and was pretty good at it (190 or so avg)...but now I suck because I don't bowl anymore.  I used to spend a lot of time golfing and got down to a 9 handicap...but now I'm so-so because I don't practice anymore (just go out and play with a cold pack).  Now I s/b/r a lot...and am getting better at each.  Right now my favorite is the bike, and am probably best at the bike...but that could change.

My best is the run and it's my favorite. I feel a bit like an alien during the swim, and in the bike I'm just praying I'm not going to a)crash or b)get a flat (in which case the race would be over for me.) I don't hate either, and that feeling of being a bit out of my element in the first two legs makes the race more thrilling. But I'm so relieved when I get to the run in one piece and can finally do something I'm actually good at.

Running is by far my favorite, as I've done it all my life.

With an equal amount of effort (or LACK of effort, I guess) put in to each... I am a far better cyclist. It comes naturally to me. I was never a bad runner...but I don't have quite the same ability for it as I do biking.

I think I am best at running, yet sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it.  But, I always love cycling.  I've felt that way ever since I rode my road bike for the first time.

I've been running so long it should be my best sport, but I'm just an average runner and I do enjoy pounding out the miles.

However, since I bought my bike 2 months ago I'm really enjoying that as well. Especially in the summer heat.

With regards to racing, swimming is my best and my favorite.  For training, running is my favorite, and I hate swimming.  I feel the biggest sense of accomplishment after a good run.
