Well my GF is home for the summer in Chicago and I haven't had pizza in over a month.  However I'm flying up next week for some "Chicago Deep Dish Pizza"!!!  I hope O'Hare has some good private "pizza" joints too.

When my GF is home we have "pizza" at least once a day.  Gotta love "Greek Pizza"

I used to agree till the other night. On our drive home from PA/NJ to Wisconsin we stopped for the night and got a hotel upgrade to a suite with a private rooms. Since our daughter wasn't in the room with us we had hotel Pizza. I must have done something to my back because the only time I'm not in pain is when I am sitting completely upright and not moving, or laying on a heating pad. The pizza may have been good, but the consequences were not worth it.

To answer the OP, we're a feast or famine house hold. I travel a bit for work and we've got a young kid. Sometimes we'll go a few weeks without and then the stars align and we will do it several times a week. Hand tossed is a whole separate matter.

I don't understand this. We had pizza more often when my wife was pregnant then any other time in our 12 years together. She was all about pizza, and cheese. The real kind, she ate a ton cheese when she was pregnant.

smarti - 2010-06-11 4:11 PM This is interesting. I recently had a conversation with my boyfriend about this, because I was starting to think I was a freak for wanting "pizza" more than he did. The stereotype is that it's usually the other way around. He's a once-a-weeker, I'm an every-other-dayer. We agreed to compromise at 2x a week, but it's not as scheduled as it sounds. He just knows there are "pizza" needs that should be met or mama gets a bit cranky.

you are also pregnant, correct?  that kind of changes the equation...

I was pregnant! Now I have an 8-week-old! Still, my desire for pizza was the same before, during and after. But I have to say, the delivery service is definitely more reliable these days!

Sigh...

I'm a newly wed and I only get pizza once a month. Something about the pie being too big for the oven.

Ugh...it's my curse.

My experience as well, except for the cheese, no real cravings other than a slight tendency for avocado.  Trey, you seem to be getting the raw end of the deal.

I am also surprised when I hear this.  During the first trimester I can see it but when you don't feel sick and aren't asleep you need to pounce!  The second trimester on the other hand was all about 2 a days!  Could not get enough.  Would wake him up when I got up to pee.  Then at the end like the last 2-3 weeks 2 a days again to help move things along.  I think women use it as an excuse and some men do as well.

TriRSquared - 2010-06-14 4:16 PM I always feel like BT is in grade school and we're too embarrassed to say "sex" when this topic comes up.

I wish this phrase would just go away. (and "flowers" and all the other grade school euphemisms.  We're adults people.)

Let the mocking begin...

Um, I really thought it was so that we could keep the site from becoming x-rated and viewable at work, etc. etc.  Some folks wouldn't be able to read various parts of the forum if the real words were used all the time....

It isn't childish, it's helpful.

um.... no.... it's because we're too embarrassed to say the word "sex" whenever this topic comes up

Edited because I quoted the wrong person.  This is obviously in response to the "pregnancy and pizza issue".

Not me.  I couldn't stand pizza when I was pregnant.  I actually thought I would throw up on DH whenever I agreed begrudgingly to have pizza.  Now that we have two little ones, we have to make a real effort to have pizza nights.  Does single topping pizza count?  Sometimes this is the best I can manage since we rarely go to bed at the same time any more!

That mad me laugh, I was almost never sick but I was asleep a lot!!!  Around the second trimester I was alone again so no pizza for me.

My favorites are "body surfing" and "wrestling - submission"

Yet another reason that I don't want kids is that they limit the supply of pizza.

Being gone for a week or so makes for lots of pizza make up.
