New PR for me. It was a very nice day so a lot of out-of-towners showed up. Some that were crazy fast. Knew it would not be another overall win when I saw the kid show up with a 'Syracuse Track' uniform. He won it with a 15:50 time. Several others passed me at about the mile mark, only one of which looked like he might be in my age group. Chased him til the end and thankfully he was in the 40-44 AG. Was very happy to see me finish the race ahead of my sub-19:00 goal. I'll take the PR and the age group win. Maybe I can shoot for sub-6 min/mile average for next year.

walked around and talked to people. had a Myoplex drink. Kind of sweet.


I think for next year, I'll shoot for running at the same pace but at 5lbs lighter. That might get me into the sub-6min/mile club. Overall happy with the race.


I love this local race. It's a lot of fun, well organized and I can walk to the start line.
