I am sure that this question has been posted numerous times, but I just couldn't wade through all of the history to find it.  Has anyone ever used this plan for an IM?  What is the general consensus on it?

Did you use the Search feature?

I think what matters about who has used the plan, is what kind of history they have in endurance sports.

The person who has done tri's for 4 years and has done a HIM and maybe an IM... will get different results... from someone who just start last year. Then, different people = different abilities and fitness levels.

There are so many variables.

What is your history? Are you logs accurate?

Over the past few years in the forums I've read some very good things about the plan and little that was critical of it, except that it may be light on bike volume. On the whole, it's well regarded and has been used by a good number of people who've been happy with their performance on race day.

You win... you asked first

This is me.  My logs are accurate... not training for any long tris this year... doing two marathons instead.  I am planning on an IM in Sept 2011.  I've been doing this for 5 years, have done probably around 15 tris including 3 HIMs.  The biggest issue I have is getting in the necessary training time without having to totally give up my family life, which I am very dedicated to.  That's why, when I came across this plan, I thought it might be good.

I used the search feature, but honestly didn't have the patience to go through all of the results to find what I needed to get.

It's one of the plans that I'm considering for IMFL this year.  I view it as similar to BT's HIM to IM bridge plan.  It assumes that you are starting with a level of fitness to comfortably complete a HIM.

I train with a guy who has used it a few times, and he likes it, but he does increase the bike volume, and he has been racing tris for close to 25 years, including numerous HIM's and a couple of IM's.
