Overall Rank = 4/
Age Group = 35-39
Age Group Rank = 1/
Pre-race routine:

wake up early, bowl of cereal, packcar and drive up
Event warmup:

Did not warm up enough, quick run, quick bike, few strokes before the swim.
Swim
  • 05m 56s
  • 500 yards
  • 01m 11s / 100 yards
Comments:

Took off with POK and felt great the whole time, should have pushed it more. Got too comfortable dafting and sat back in second. I know both of us should have / could have gone a lot faster.
What would you do differently?:

Not hold back in a sprint triathlon!!!
Transition 1
  • 00m 52s
Comments:

slow transition from run to bike, Really lost some ground there.
What would you do differently?:

practice with shoes in the clips and not run with the shoes on.
Bike
  • 33m 47s
  • 12.4 miles
  • 22.02 mile/hr
Comments:

Need to go faster on the bike. I was very dissapointed with my performance here. I felt that I got to comfortable in my pace and did not push enough. It was difficult to look up and see POK just dissapear in the distance. He looked great on the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Train more at an uncomfortable speed. I am getting to lazy with my training in the bike. Getting out and just riding is not enough.
Transition 2
  • 00m 43s
Comments:

missed my rack and took time to find it after I passed right by it, just plain dumb, I should know that already.
What would you do differently?:

Pay attention to what I am doing. Think about the transition before I get there.
Run
  • 20m 55s
  • 3.25 miles
  • 06m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

Guessed on the rank. Once again sa back too much in the comfor / pace Zone. Need to push a 5k. Nice running course with a few exceptions.
What would you do differently?:

pick up mile 1 and 2, As I finished I felt like I was just warmed up and ready to go.
Post race
Warm down:

Ran with a few guys around part of the course, it was coo to talk about different races and certain strategies with regards to those races.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training has been based more for distance tri and not the quik sprint ones.

Event comments:

The volunteers were awesome and the food after was panera bread that tasted great. Did I mention how awesome the volunteers were. Every corner, every turn there were 3-5 people there directing you and cheering you own. I was not too happy ywith my performance but the overall experience was great thanks to the Volunteers.

Nice race Keith. Sprints are tough, I don't like pushing my slow twitch body that hard.
