Comments:

Started out with the 1:50 pace group since this was just slower than my PR time in my April Half Mary. BIG mistake! that was too fast due to the heat. I hung with them until mile 5 and then crumbled! Should have started with the 2 hour pace group and then sped up. Oh well lessons learned! the heat/humidity was brutal! Water stations were well placed but I should have carried more water/Gu Brew with me! I was almost staggering by the end...hot and dehydrated.
What would you do differently?:

get a 6 bottle fuel belt. run with out my shirt...it was soaked and uncomfortable.
Post race
Warm down:

sat on my ass by the Mustangs and drank everything I could get my hands on!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

the Heat and Humidity. Really, I think I did pretty well considering the heat...I think I was pretty well trained (especially since this was really just a training race for el Scorcho later this summer).

Event comments:

Very well organized...LOTS of pre and post race activities and music. I was impressed! Will do this race again next year
