Pre-race routine:

I had an Ensure about 2 hours before the ride. I ate a breakfast sandwich on the way to the event and sipped on zero calories Power Edge.
Event warmup:

No warmup. Once we were geared up we left.

Comments:

The 1st leg was a good warm-up. The 2nd leg had some Chip Seal and a fair head wind dropping my average speed. The 3rd leg had good surface and a small Tail wind. The 4th leg was a mixture of everything except I was riding with my four friends.
What would you do differently?:

Since it was a group ride and not a race I am happy/satisfied with the way it went. I don't know if I would change anything.

Warm down:

No warm down. Loaded up the gear and went and got my Monster Cookie.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

2nd Leg had a lot of head wind.

Event comments:

My first goal was to ride the middle 28.8 section without stopping. My 2nd goal was to avg 15 to 16 mph depending on the weather. I met or exceeded both goals so I am pretty happy with the ride.
